Treating curvature of the spine with magnets

By | August 17, 2010, 10:52 AM PDT

Stopping scoliosis usually requires a series of painful operations to implant rods and screws to adjust the spine. Even then, the results are often less than perfect. However, a medical team at UCSF have developed a technique using magnets that promises to do away with so many surgeries.

RE: Treating curvature of the spine with magnets
I'd like this a lot better if there was actually a video to watch. Nada.

RE: Treating curvature of the spine with magnets
I get it. Treatment with magnets is hooey, so you just leave the screen blank. Brilliant. If magnetic fields had any significant effect on the body, we would all be lined-up for MRI's because they impart a magnetic field that is about 50,000,000 times that of even the most powerful permanent magnet that you could wear. Hey guys, stick to science, ok?
