Polaris Wireless is extending its location-tracking software to break into European markets in a multi-million dollar deal.
Polaris Wireless, a company that specializes in the development of highly-accurate, software-based wireless solutions, has announced a new contract in location surveillance.
The wireless surveillance products are often used in combating crime and terrorism in the U.S. market. Now, Polaris Wireless has secured a multi-million dollar contract for the deployment of Polaris Wireless Altus and OmniLocate location surveillance product suite in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
This is the fourteenth contract secured for the extension of surveillance and security products outside of the U.S. market, showing a global trend for the increase of wireless monitoring and investment in security software.
Manlio Allegra, Polaris Wireless CEO and co-founder said:

The Altus application suite is the only software-based surveillance product in the industry that enables mass location tracking. It allows users to simultaneously track and locate all subscribers in real-time, as well as trace back locations in the past.
The applications of this software include target identification, geo-fence tracking, event analytics and mass surveillance -- features that are paramount for modern anti-terrorism agencies. Allegra noted:

We are exploring several additional opportunities in the international marketplace, and plan to increase our workforce in order to meet the growing demand."
In keeping with its location-tracking facilities, the application suite is being deployed to work in urban and indoor environments.
