iRobot hits 5 million home robot mark

iRobot has sold more than 5 million home robots. That’s a lot of Roombas folks.

The company began selling the Roomba vacuum cleaner in 2002 and has expanded its home robot line to include floor washers, shop sweepers, pool cleaners and gutter cleaners.

Simply put, the home robot market has come of age. In the not-to-distant future we may see robots doing more than just cleaning our floors.

iRobot has overcome a lot of hurdles in getting this product to market.
