Infographic: Visualizing South by Southwest Interactive 2010

The annual South by Southwest Interactive conference in Austin, Texas is known as ground zero for new, innovative tech startups.

At this year’s SxSWi event, mobile apps that use geolocation were all the rage. Services such as Foursquare, Gowalla, Twitter, Flickr, Bump, Brightkite, BlockChalk and Fwix were repeatedly used during the conference.

In a Vicarious.ly visualization video powered by data collected by SimpleGeo, those interactions — checkins, Tweets, uploads, bumps and so forth — provide an interesting view into how attendees interact during the show.
