In San Francisco, turning prototypes into products

On Monday, nine startups from the U.S., Europe and Asia gathered at the Autodesk Gallery in San Francisco to unveil new products and pitches developed under the guise of HAXLR8R, a mentorship-driven seed funding program for technology startups focused on hardware.

Ideas for industries as diverse as robotics, toys, connected devices, energy, appliances, self-quantification and healthcare were on display as the accelerator’s first batch of graduates showed off their wares.

Correspondent Sumi Das visited on behalf of our sister site CNET and highlighted her favorite gadgets.
