Our health is perhaps one of the most pressing issues that we face today.
How will we get better? What will help us? Where will we go? How can those facilities improve?
From pharmaceuticals to hospitals, healthcare is big business. It’s also a big topic, which is why we’re proud to announce that Janet Fang will join Dana Blankenhorn on SmartPlanet’s Rethinking Healthcare blog.
If the name sounds familiar, it might be because you read Fang’s writing in Nature, or perhaps Discover magazine. (Or, if you’re from the Bay Area, her work in the Point Reyes Light.)
A California native, Fang is based in Washington, D.C. She’s a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and Columbia University’s dual-degree Earth and Environmental Science Journalism program.
On Rethinking Healthcare, Janet will be covering the movers and shakers (and technology) of the rapidly-changing healthcare industry, from better imaging and diagnostic equipment to novel new drugs and improved outpatient techniques.
The hope? That we’ll get a glimpse of what the hospital of the future will look like.
Please welcome her. –The Editors
