Startup builds green toys that are safer and cleaner

By | December 23, 2009, 3:00 AM PST

“Parents are now thinking about toys the same way they think about food. They want to know what’s in it and where it comes from”, says Robert Von Goeben. Van Goeben along with his partner Laurie Hyman run a San Francisco based startup, Green Toys, that produces traditional childhood fare made from recycled milk bottles and other eco-friendly ingredients. While the products run around 20% more than the toys from China consumers know they are getting and are supporting jobs here as the toys are made in SF and not important by cargo ship. RE: Startup builds green toys that are safer and cleaner
I bought Green Toy's Tea Set for my 5y/o grand niece for Christmas. When I got it I had to check it out and was absolutely amazed how nice these toys were. I like the idea that they're created from recycled plastic milk jugs and that they're produced here in the USA, not only lowering the carbon footprint but also providing work for US citizens. I'm will to pay more for a safe, environmentally friendly toy made here than some of the ones of questionable safety coming from China. I hope Green Toys succeeds in a big way!

Green Toys
Green toys are safer for the kids, i do recommend parents to allow kids to play with it so they can have all fun without any harm.
