The Picycle from PiMobility combines technical prowess and fun with a design on par with the work of Apple or Ideo. Watch this extremely well done review by Susan Carpenter of the LA Times and soon I’ll have the companies founder, Marcus Hays, join us to talk about the industry and the future for electric bikes.

Get the price down and it could be a winner
A simple search for "motirized bicycles" will find much cheaper options...
A simple search found me this from SpookyTooth:
http://www.spookytoothcycles.com/
The bicycles at that web-site above are very inexpensive and I may even send away for one.
RE: Introducing the Picycle - coolest electric bike ever
I read this bike is going to be more accessible "economically speaking" in the next few months or so. I'm super excited, I have loved this bike since I saw its "debut"? in the DWR 2007 catalog and I want to pre-order! If that's possible of course
Not worth it.
With this bike you are paying for the name and style when a simpler frame would probably weigh the same and cost less to produce.
At this point growing the mass market for such a bike wants an affordable, functional bike. Style should take a back seat to those design goals.
This bike will sell to the rich eco snobs who buy every expensive eco toy the can get. It will be a status symbol to own one, but it will sit in the garage most of the time because who wants to use a $20 cable lock to secure a $4,000 bike?
