Industrial wind turbines are a fraudlent product like weight loss supplements that promise you can eat all you want of whatever and still lose weight. WIND TURBINES DO NOT PROVIDE RENEWABLE ENERGY! Not one coal or gas plant the world over has been decommissioned because of IWTs...and eliminating our dependence on fossil fuels is their raison d???etre. To quote an expert: ???Because wind blows intermittently, electric utilities must either keep their conventional power plants running all the time to make sure the lights don???t go dark, or continually ramp up and down the output from conventional coal-or gas-fired generators (called ???cycling???). But coal-fired and gas-fired generators are designed to run continuously, and if they don???t, fuel consumption and emissions generally increase.??? This is happening worldwide, and in places like Colorado and Texas where CO2 and power plant pollution have increased since installing wind farms:

The wind industry is built on crony capitalism, it is the only way it can exist. Taxpayer money builds them and power companies are mandated to buy wind generated power at much higher rates than conventionally produced power. There is no true benefit, except to wind power companies, politicians and lobbyists. Some people and communities that partner with wind developers also profit, but those profits are paid for by surcharges to all other ratepayers and huge taxpayer subsidies. Do away with the special subsidies and they are a money-losing proposition. Plus, this IWT is sited way too close to a popilated neighborhood. The low frequency noise polution from the turbine will affect the health of many in that Bayonne neighborhood and kill their home values. If this were not true, why would Denmark, home to the largest turbine manufacturer Vestas, make it law that homeowners be compensate by developers for loss-of-value. Bayonne will never do that unless sued, which is likely to happen:

Head down to the southern tip of Manhattan in the coming week, and you might notice a new addition to the distant view: a solitary 1.5-megawatt wind turbine, rising 262 feet from the banks of the Hudson River.
One turbine can hardly compare to the visual display produced by large-scale wind farms. Still, it will be an interesting NIMBY experiment. For residents of Bayonne, New Jersey, where the turbine is being erected, and New Yorkers alike. If someone in Manhattan’s Battery Park looks southwest they’ll see the Statue of Liberty. From that vantage point, the turbine will be seen directly behind the iconic statue, according to LEITWIND.
The wind turbine, manufactured by Italian-based LEITWIND, will supply power to the city of Bayonne’s Oak Street Pumping Station. Most of the components will be produced at LEITWIND’s Austrian facility.The system will produce around 3.3 gigawatt hours of electricity a year enough to power up to 600 single-family homes. The city’s municipal utilities authority will save an estimated $175,000 a year.
Construction was slated to begin this week, according to the city of Bayonne. The turbine blades and rotary were expected to be erected today.
