Video: Samsung reinvents the window

By | January 22, 2012, 7:18 PM PST

Unveiled at CES 2012, the Samsung Transparent Smart Window is a huge step in streamlined home automation. The see through touchscreen acts like a computer, a television, and a window, providing light and allowing views of the outside. The screen functions like a one way mirror for privacy. The display also has a window shade program that produces blinds on the screen to control natural lighting. The LCD screen will fit windows up to 46 inches wide, but smaller sizes will offer better resolution.

According to the company, the touchscreens will be going into production within the next month.
