Wrangler launches moisturizing cellulite-fighting jeans

Posting in Technology

Wrangler's latest line of jeans aims to pack a spa and gym into one skinny-leg denim package.

The Denim Spa jeans, whose 2013 release was announced last summer, come infused with an array of beauty repairs that aim to soothe and moisture skin and even rid your legs of dreaded cellulite.

The jeans come in three skinny-leg style in different waist cuts for £85, reported Telegraph. The jeans, which will be available this month on the Asos online shopping site, have three different finishes: aloe vera to soothe the skin, olive extract to moisturize and smooth legs to fight cellulite.

Asos describes the Denim Spa line as a "collection of great fitting jeans infused with cosmetic ingredients that will provide treatments for your legs as you wear them, keeping them silky smooth throughout the day."

The "smooth legs" variety, which contains a special formula of algae extracts, retinol and caffeine, makes the most audacious claim of the three: it helps reduce cellulite. And at least one study claims to back it up. A consumer trial found that 69 percent of the woman who tested the product claimed the appearance of their thighs improved after four weeks of wearing the jeans for eight hours a day, five days a week, the newspaper said.

These magic jeans don't maintain their superpowers forever. After a number of washes the infusion fades away. Never fear: consumers can buy a reload spray, which can be applied to the jeans after each wash.
