1.) Devolve infrastructure decision-making to promote efficiency, foster innovation. [Letter]

2.) U.S. water pipeline infrastructure discussed for improvements in Chicago seminar. In Chicago last week, water and wastewater utility engineers and consulting engineers from five states -- Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada and Wisconsin -- participated in an educational seminar on the design and installation of corrosion-proof PVC piping.

3.) Gov't releases P2B for private-public partnership projects. The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has released funds for classroom-construction projects and right-of-way claims under the Administration's Public-Private Partnership (PPP) program.

4.) 18 infrastructure projects OKd. The government has identified 18 infrastructure projects to take place in South Africa in the next 10 to 20 years.

5.) Cycling infrastructure strongly influences injury risk. A new study published in the American Journal of Public Health using injury data from Toronto and Vancouver finds that street infrastructure has a big impact on risk of injury for cyclists.
