London tests 'all-electric' buses

With a range of 155 miles, they are next to useless, with a 4-5 hour charge time.
The mentioned wireless charging are still pie in the sky technology, and the Aggie bus technology demonstrator is tiny compared to the bulk of a London Double decker bus. The costs of installation and sheer disruption throughout London's busy streets would be highly prohibitive, and this is commonly not mentioned in these articles.
You'd probably be better powering the buses by (tailpipe emissions free) Hydrogen combustion or fuel cell, and have the Hydrogen produced by the electricity - whichever way it is consumed (inconvenient truth time) is likely produced by Carbon based electricity power plants.
Better spend the money on the vast London Underground network - which is in need of money being spent on it.
