Mr. Rubin has called his robotics effort a “moonshot,” but has declined to describe specific products that might come from the project. He has, however, also said that he does not expect initial product development to go on for years, indicating that Google commercial robots of some nature could be available in the next several years.

Dress up those galloping robots with "skins", and put a saddle on them, and we could end up with robotic people carriers. I'd go for one, if they become affordable and available to the general public in the future. Ride 'em cowboy!
@neil.postlethwaite I was thinking more along the lines of Cylons in Caprica. Of course that means they are also working on virtual reality chat rooms so we've got that going for us.
