At the Cleantech Forum in San Francisco, NRG Energy CEO David Crane discusses how smart meters, distributed-solar projects, and plug-in electric vehicles could potentially cause disruptive change in the energy industry.

What I interrupt this to mean is "DISRUPTIVE PROFITS" the hell with the planet - profits first as always!!!
Smart meters, distributed solar and plugin EVs are not disruptive technologies at all. Why are some very smart people refusing to see the overriding need for power storage? Batteries that will work at the grid level or to enable "islanding" microgrid systems are the key to saving so much more money/energy than all three of the above mentioned technologies combined. Please someone tell me why the cover up?
When an executive can speak eloquently and passionately from his heart and not from notes, perhaps then he will be able to capture our attention and make us believe.
